Bryn Smith is a crime sci-fi author and creator of the Magnus Nights series. His first book, The Helios Incident, placeheld in the Hawkeye Manuscript Development Prize and longlisted in the Chanticleer’s International Book Awards. His military science fiction short stories have received honourable mentions in the Australian Defence Force’s Sci Fi Competition. 

He has worked in government in national security, economics, communications and technology policy and is a combat engineer in the Army Reserves. 

He rides horses in his spare time and teaches people how to write fiction on TikTok and YouTube.
