With special congratulations to the overall winner Trelyse Allan
Artists from all over the community created original illustrations about those who serve our community, including members of Ambulance, Police, and Surf Life Saving.
Their art shares special stories, thoughts, and memories about them, the everyday heroes, and why it is important to remember them too.
The competition was open internationally to people of all ages, and some artists entered multiple illustrations.
‘It has been such a special experience to produce Remember.
It is a beautiful legacy of the Anzacs, with the community coming together to honour those who have worked and still work to give us this amazing life.
It’s not just children, parents, and teachers who love Remember, but the reaction from veterans themselves has been absolutely moving. Often bringing tears to their eyes, it has made them feel honoured, treasured, and remembered.
I’m looking forward to doing the same for our domestic frontline heroes, and I am so glad to have the opportunity to invite you to join me in this mission.’
J. E. Miller, Author
Winners will be named illustrators in Remember: Triple Zero Heroes, and will receive a personalised t-shirt and a free copy of the book, signed by the author.
The overall winner, Trelyse Allan, has been chosen to receive a future picture book mentorship with Hawkeye Publishing.
